over the months I really took interest with riding a bike., or should I say like for YEARS I always took interest in riding a bike it’s just that

1. I was never confident in riding on the road
2. never had a bike
3. didn’t know where to start

4. never had the moolah to buy a bike in the first place

but with all the pent up energy and desire, fate did find a way for me to ride a bike (a special thanks to the girlfriend’s dad regarding the bike I borrowed)… and for some reason, I found myself owning a spankin’ brand new bike. This is not my usual photo-blog where I just rant and rave about one topic. This is just a mere thank you photo to all the people who made this hobby possible. Aaaaand yeah, my biking consists of about 10km every other day and 1 long ride which is around 20+km… so a total of 40-60km a week… and hoping to increase the distance as I go along.

How to create your own zombie apocalypse?

Well you just have to shoot all 3 other replicas of yourself… say around last year’s April 2011…. wait for a year for them to decompose a bit and gain some zombie viruses and etc. and then… poof! wait for Halloween and there you have it.. they’d be rising up from their graves and come back to chase you, devour your brains, take revenge because I was the last one standing alive with a warm body…. or they just came over for chicken and beer night and I just misunderstood them… hmmmm…. :|

I have been thinking of projects over my inactivity of taking pics and one of them is integrating street photography, street art and music all rolled in to one (so I could use the title “street music”… hehehehe)… and finally it came after my church’s band mates decided to contact me and have their newly formed band “Miry Clay” have a photoshoot… so this was an opportune time for me to take it to the streets and take the photos.

so this one is from our team building in a place called Compostella… Low tide was around and so a little walk down the rocky coast was all good and w

ell besides the slippery spots here and there. Taking this shot I had envisioned it to be presented in black and white after PP was done. But as the PP went on, I accidentally removed the B&W filter in photoshop and showed me this colored version of it, and so thinking to myself as well that the colors given to me at this situation was a perfect contrast to the blue sky and sea, so why not just let it stay as a colored photo.

after a substantial amount of time under photographic hiatus, I have finally gathered the strength to escape the clutches of laziness (and work) and started shooting again, and uploading them too… and now that I have a new SD card reader, more pics are soon to come. And to start off, The Iron Man series…

Where the elite of elites gather in the super triathlon event. People who participate in this event never fail to inspire the people to go outside and take the path of physical fitness, athletes and non-athletes alike. This year, the event was hosted by the Queen City of the South Cebu and I was able to get in the middle of the action in the biking event. A grueling event which has a route that leads from Mactan Shangri-la hotel up to the point of SRP. epic distance is epic… (90k+ if I’m not mistaken)

Just after this event, I even plan to buy a road bike now in addition to my supposed running routine. 5K jog anyone? :)

haven’t uploaded much in tumblr since EVER… school is killing me and my schedule.

but there came a time that me, girlfriend, cousin, cousin’s girl, friend, friend’s girl, friend’s cousin, and friend’s cousin’s girl., went to TOPS.. yes.. tops, the so-far-highest legit viewing park in Cebu. The perfect place to take a picture of the entire city…

so here’s the photo I have entered in the USC humanities photo contest.

I loved this photo since the photo contest was announced last January 31 tuesday I think.. and tada.. the deadline was February 3… the very first thing I thought was…. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!!… so on February 1 I thought of a concept about motion, chaos and basically the usual things we see that aren’t dynamic was the main subject I chose to be well…. dynamic, moving, chaotic. We had 3 concepts that day, I first shot concept was my friend Kyle toss up a lot of paper inside a classroom, it was a success and later we did concept number 2 which was this, the apple + water thingy… and the 3rd was the cliche’ water drop… water drops were okay but they were…. meh… so I stuck with the one that look the most chaotic, dynamic as well as moving….

The photo right now is what I wanted to show people that the most mundane can cause such chaos, the most innocent can cause a rupture in the thin fabric of peace. The meek can have potential, the small can be big.
